Radeon HD 6970M MXM 3.0b

Great news !! AMD launched its Mobility Radeon 6970M video card earlier this year. But he left to notebook builders finding the right implementation. Now people from Eurocom will reunite all these attempts as a MXM module 3.0b.

It can be used both in notebooks, desktops and in small or embedded electronics. The module contains the same GPU Blackcomb 1.7 billion transistors and 40 nm, which includes 960 stream processors and 32 ROP's and 48 texture units, and has a frequency of 680 MHz.

Amount of GDDR5 memory is 2 GB, using 256-bit bus, and reaches 3600 MHz. This module MXM 3.0b measures 105 * 82 mm and is based on a 12 layers PCB. And your overall TDP is 75 W.

This is very good news because a lot of people prefer a laptop because is tiny, elegant, portable, easy to use, fast to use but almost all laptops till year 2010 are not performant for games like crysis or grand theft auto 4.

But the future is bright !! a 6970 video card on a laptop sounds very very good but will see prices !
