Toshiba announced 19-nm technology process improvement for production of flash memory. The first samples of chips with two bits per cell and 8 GB capacity will be ready later this month, and large-scale production will begin sometime in the third quarter of this year 2011.
With chips Toshiba 8GB SSD will be able to make small up to 128 GB, which can be easily integrated into mobile devices like smartphones and Tablet PCs. And it intends to use the 19 nm process technology and the development of chips with three bits per cell. But that a little later.
