New Loch Ness monster? A strange creature was filmed in Alaska

A creature like the Loch Ness Monster was filmed in Alaska, and scientists have different opinions about it. Shooting, fishing conducted in 2009, will be made public on a new Discovery Channel.

Some scientists say that the animal is a Cadborosaurus, a type of reptile like a snake living in the North Pacific and other regions, reports Discovery News.

Witnesses describe the creature as having a long neck, like a horse head, large eyes and humps on the back, leaving the water.

"I am very impressed with this film. Although it was filmed in the rain on a swinging boat, is authentic," says Paul LeBlond, former Head of Science at the University of British Columbia oceanology.

Testimonies to a Cadborosaurus were made over time. In 1937, an alleged body of this animal was found in the stomachs of whales caught in the Queen Charlotte Islands, a British-Colombian archipelago. Samples from animals were taken to a museum in Victoria, where researchers have concluded that they belonged to a whale fetus. Last year a whaling station worker said he saw debris but they were not and that of an unborn whales.

"Since we find new species in the oceans, which allows some maintain the existence of such creatures to fill the gaps with their imagination. But this shows how much exploration is needed," says Jim Covel, expert at the Monterey Bay Aquarium , California.

Like other criptide (animals that some people think that there but not yet recognized by science), there was only Cadborosaurus blurry photographs and eyewitness statements.

Paul LeBlond says that the film made in 2009 but gives more credibility to the creature. While many have speculated that the animal is a shark, a giant eel or a type of fish, LeBlond believes that fish can not be because of how it moves.

"Must be a mammal or a reptile, because oscillate up and down vertically, which eliminates specific lateral oscillations in fish," says the scientist.
