Opel at the IAA: a quartet of world premieres
Four world premieres are in the spotlight 64 Opel edition of the Frankfurt International Motor Show (September 15 to 25). Opel will present the first compact coupe new Astra GTC, the new champion of versatility and next-generation Zafira Tourer compact Combo panel van, all in the new re-designed booth D 09 in Hall 8.
The main element of the press conference will take place at the Opel stand on 13 September at 9:45 am, will be unveiling the first time an experimental car that explores new interpretation of mobility. In addition, the series amps, the first electric vehicle in Europe adequate daily use, will be exhibited at the stand just before reaching the first dealers in countries that will be available. Opel will also demonstrate, through extensive portfolio ecoFLEX models, there is still potential to reduce fuel consumption for conventional propulsion systems, without compromising in terms of driving pleasure: in Frankfurt will be presented seven new Opel ecoFLEX models.
Astra GTC, Zafira and Combo Tourer have the stage for the first time
The design of the new Astra GTC amazing promises exceptional driving dynamics. Coupe Opel's compact and agile ensure maximum driving precision, because the front suspension exclusive, high-performance (HiPerStrut). The release is available on a range of gasoline and diesel has an output between 88 kW/120 hp and 132 kW/180 hp.
New Zafira Tourer sets new standards for versatility and interior ambiance, thanks Flex7 seating concept, now redesigned. A "lounge on wheels" that brings the MPV segment values and premium quality, innovative technology and sculptural design, Insignia dynamic model.
The new Combo is a versatile vehicle, car, van, designed for work, family and leisure. It is available with five engines: four petrol engines and one diesel. Next generation of the compact Combo will be available with five or seven seats, two wheelbases, the body glazed or panel van version.
Amps electric vehicle market is heading for launch
Amper is the first electric vehicle model manufactured by a European manufacturer that provides mobility in "any place and at any time" and will be available in the first Opel representatives later this year. It is the perfect embodiment of motto for this year's Motor Show in Frankfurt, "serienmassig Zukunft", which can be translated as "the future is available as standard." Electric propulsion system which develops an output of 111 kW/150 hp is powered by a lithium-ion power of 16 kWh. Depending on driving style, type of terrain and temperature, it provides electric mode operation over a distance of 40 to 80 miles without gas emissions - absolutely sufficient for most daily trips in Europe. Due to the expansion of autonomy are possible trips over 500 kilometers without the need to stop at a filling station.
New versions EcoFLEX from the Insignia Meriva
Opel unveils new models at Frankfurt ecoFLEX, leading representative of the classes they belong in terms of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions: Meriva 1.3 CDTI (109 g CO 2), Astra 1.7 CDTI (99 g CO2/km ) Insignia 1.4 Turbo (petrol, 134 g CO 2) and Insignia 2.0 CDTI (115 g CO 2) and ecoFLEX versions of the Astra GTC and Zafira Tourer, which starts as well. Many of the over 60 ecoFLEX variants available at the moment can be ordered by Start / Stop technology. Start / stop system, developed by Opel, will be available until spring of 2012 in 34 vehicle-motor combinations.
