Former Japanese player Hideki Irabu baseball, winning the World Series twice with New York Yankees, was found dead at 42, at his home in Los Angeles, police suspecting it's suicide, informs AFP.

Hideki Irabu's lifeless body was discovered Wednesday afternoon at his home in Rancho Palos Verdes.

Arrived in U.S. in 1997 for $ 12.8 million contract, the Japanese won the World Series, the equivalent world championship in 1998 and 1999.

In 2000 he went to Montreal, where he spent two seasons before he played last year in Major League Baseball with the Texas Rangers. He was retired in 2002.
