Dmitry Medvedev seems to cast doubt on how Osama bin Laden was removed
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, appeared to express doubts about the official story that Osama bin Laden was removed during a raid by American special forces in Pakistan.
Medvedev, who attended a press conference near Moscow, the correspondent addressed the public broadcaster Kanal Pervii which aired the day before an interview with an alleged CIA agent.
This agent, presented as a Turk of Chechen origin, said bin Laden had died of natural causes in 2006, and U.S. forces discovered his body only.
"We saw the Internet a part of your interview with a staff that had a very interesting story about bin Laden. It is true or not?" said Medvedev.
"In this case, the Americans did not explain why, "said Russian President.

In response to al-Qaida leader's death, Russia's presidency welcomed the "important success" of the United States in combating terrorism.
