Microsoft give away This pre version of windows 8 for public to download and try it !

If you want to try 32 bits or 64 bits versions you can get from here now for free.

Both go x86 and x64 systems only, nothing yet for ARM platforms.

Windows Developer Preview 8 was unveiled today at the conference Microsoft Build, by Steven Sinofsky, senior vice president of Windows division. Once installed version will be activated only for free and receive the appropriate updates from Microsoft.

They say about Windows 8 as:

- has lower system requirements than Windows 7

- use energy more efficiently in

- entire user interface is hardware accelerated

- Metro will run in parallel interface with the classic Windows 7 (Aero)

- will come with DirectX 11

- boots faster than Windows 7 (even in 8 seconds)

- final version will be removed according to quality, not a specific date
